Weishaupt Design Group is currently seeking a Director, Logistics & Warehousing. Reporting to the VP Finance, this position spans both logistics and operations.   • Develop short and long-term strategic planning & management of the organization’s logistics and warehousing departments
  • Demonstrate ability for Client Service excellence. Understand the importance of end-to-end execution at the highest quality of service, whether it be dock to dock or white glove delivery. Understanding that the last impression for all our high-end clients is just as important as the first impression.
  • Build and develop ongoing relationships with European & North American carriers, 3PL partners, and suppliers to ensure consolidation points in Europe are efficient and luxury products are safely transported.
  • Collaborate with top management and decision-makers to share information, problem-solve and streamline operations.
  • Identify and report any risk within the supply chain in a timely manner and work towards long-term solutions.
  • Work closely with and collaborate with Purchasing and Client Success departments to maximize efficiencies and manage internal and external expectations.
  • Work at the strategic level to enhance and oversee implementation of optimization plan for all major worldwide projects to ensure freight is within published timelines
  • Support VP, Finance with defining vision and achieving long term goals
  • Proactively plan for more efficient storage and delivery solutions between vendors, warehouses, and customers in both Europe & North America
  • Oversee all intra-company movements and collaborate with other teams within the company to tailor the process according to customers’ needs
  • Review monthly financial reports and take corrective actions to cut down costs and increase revenue while maintaining the
  • quality of final carrier deliveries
  • Support Logistics Manager with constant evaluation of carrier network; ensuring the quality of service and negotiating preferred rates.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the warehousing process and create plans for implementing process improvements
  • Support career growth for key players in the warehouse and logistics teams
  • Work with Management to understand long term vision and plan for achieving KPIs based on the vision of the organization
  • Define and review Logistic and Warehouse managers’ KPIs on a semi-annual and annual basis
  • Work on overall integration of logistics and warehousing teams, to achieve the most efficient end-to-end process
  • Improve upon and maintain a high level of communication regarding transit delays and notifications


  • Strong transportation, Logistics, and Warehousing background with expertise in international importing and exporting; including experience with cross-border trucking & customs procedures.
  • Be a strong and positive team player & leader with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Possess excellent analytical and data manipulation skills and the ability to identify and resolve problems promptly as they arise.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to challenge the status quo and see solutions through to completion
  • Big picture thinker who can anticipate issues and is comfortable with change management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience with luxury products is an asset
  • Familiarity with ERPs. Experience with SAP is an asset
  • Dependable with a high degree of ownership and integrity
  • Warehouse automation implementation is an asset
