AVENUE ROAD is currently seeking an experienced full-time Sales Associate. As a well-organized furniture sales or design professional, you will support sales opportunities within our retail and trade business while maintaining excellent customer relations. In this role, the candidate will report directly to the Director, Sales & Business Development.

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate on full sales cycle with senior Sales executives
  • Manage small scale designer and retail opportunities independently
  • Prepare responses and updates to client inquiries for pricing and product information by phone, email, and SAP
  • Manage sales quotations, order management, deliveries, after-sale service
  • Lead generation primarily through inside sales and inbound leads
  • Support marketing activities such as sales events and trade fairs
  • Contribute to the overall conquest and retention strategies
  • On-going sales analysis and opportunity follow up
  • Independent product research and product knowledge tutorials
  • Advise on decisions regarding development and execution of information assembly and presentation based on sales initiatives
  • Advanced communication skills in presentation planning and assembly of project information reports
  • Assist in general administrative duties including general correspondence and meeting preparation
  • Daily interaction with operations team on customer orders and deliveries
  • Contact vendors for information/clarification/special requests
  • Greet and assist clients on the showroom floor as required
  • Keep sales area and showroom floor presentable in support of sales activities.
  • Additional duties as required


Responsibilities 


  • Furniture sales and/or interior design experience required (+2 years)
  • Ability to work full-time starting immediately
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team skills
  • Excellent computer skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • SAP knowledge is an asset
  • Second language is an asset
